Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Omotesando

While the main shrine draws crowds, the approach road's side streets hide specialist food shops that most day-trippers walk past. Bowls of fresh shirasu (whitebait) over rice at tiny counter restaurants, handmade warabi mochi at century-old wagashi shops, and Kamakura-brewed craft beer at micro-taprooms line the lanes within two blocks of the main approach. Eating your way through these alleys is the real Kamakura food experience.
