Marvel at spectacular marine life of the Pacific Rim, from the Great Barrier Reef to the Arctic.
Located on the waterfront in the Tempozan Harbor Village area, is one of the largest aquariums in the world and a signature attraction of the city. Its centerpiece is a massive nine-meter-deep tank housing whale sharks alongside manta rays and schools of fish, viewable from a spiraling walkway that descends through the building. The exhibits trace the ecosystems of the Pacific Rim, from the kelp forests of the Aleutian Islands to the coral reefs of the Great Barrier Reef and the icy waters of Antarctica. Evening visits are especially atmospheric, with mood lighting and fewer crowds. Combine your trip with a ride on the adjacent Tempozan Giant Ferris Wheel for panoramic views of Osaka Bay.
