Mt. Senjogatake
nature
仙丈ヶ岳
Queen of the Minami Alps.
Standing at 3,033 meters in the Minami Alps, Senjogatake has earned the nickname 'Queen of the Minami Alps' for its gentle, elegant profile and its reputation as the most accessible high peak in the national park. Three routes reach the summit, including the popular Kitazawa Pass route. At the top, three cirques, Sotaku, Daisenjosawa, and Kosenjosawa, create a dramatic panorama of glacial landforms, and the broad green ridgelines are filled with alpine flowers in summer. Experienced hikers looking for a serious day in the Minami Alps without the technical demands of neighboring peaks often start here.
