A tiny craft brewery in a renovated machiya townhouse pouring experimental beers with Japanese ingredients.
Kyoto Beer Lab operates out of a narrow machiya in central Kyoto, brewing small-batch craft beers using ingredients like yuzu, matcha, and sansho pepper. The intimate taproom seats about 15 people and doubles as the brewhouse, so you can watch the brewing process while sipping. They rotate about 8 taps with seasonal and experimental brews.
