Kayaking and Stand-up Paddleboarding at Miyajima
nature
宮島でのカヤックとスタンドアップパドルボード体験
Several local companies offer guided kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding tours around Miyajima, giving a closer view of the island's shrines and rocky shoreline than the ferry provides. Routes vary from a standard course passing Itsukushima Shrine to a longer eastern loop taking in the nearby island of Enoshima, and a full-day option circling from Irihama Beach around the island's southwestern side. No prior experience is needed. The island is part of Setonaikai National Park and has been considered sacred for centuries, so its coastline remains largely undisturbed. English-speaking guides are available for most tours.
