Observatory atop Mt. Inasa offers remarkable 360-degree views of Nagasaki, plus park playgrounds below.
Mount Inasa rises 333 meters above Nagasaki and is known for one of Japan's top three night views. A ropeway carries visitors to the summit observatory in about five minutes, where a 360-degree panorama shows the city's harbor, bridges, and hillside neighborhoods lit up below. The observation deck, recently renovated with floor-to-ceiling glass, is comfortable in any weather. During the day, clear conditions extend the view to the Goto Islands. The surrounding park has walking trails, playgrounds, and a small deer park. Arriving at dusk lets you watch the city transition into its nighttime display.
