Uminonakamichi Seaside Park
park
海の中道海浜公園
A massive seaside national park on a peninsula with flower fields, a marine world, and beaches. Fukuoka's backyard escape.
This 540-hectare national park on a narrow peninsula has seasonal flower fields (nemophila, cosmos, tulips), a water park, animal encounters, cycling paths, and beaches. The Marine World aquarium next door has an excellent dolphin show with Hakata Bay as backdrop. Despite its size, it's mostly visited by locals and rarely appears in tourist guides.
